My furbabies are all growing up so quickly!!
We recently celebrated Ben & Grizzabella’s 3rd birthday… yes THIRD! As in… they’re 3. Where’d the time go??
Here’s my gorgeous little punkin’s photos from the beginning of this week. They look so “big kitty” now :)
I love the shot below of the them together. They completely love each other, but this really captures typical snarky bella hissing in disapproval at Ben…. with Ben’s look of “Meh.” Totally printing this to hang in the house.
So, on the kittens birthday, they were pampered with lots of brushing and had a special dinner:
You see, our cats mainly eat crunchy cat food and only get packets as a treat every once in a while. We’re obsessive over what our furkids eat…. I want them to have what’s best for them, and we always go holistic. Being the “clean eating, real food” maniac that I am, I assume my cats are the same way and feed them accordingly. They used to eat Wellness dry cat food, but for the past several months we’ve been feeding Solid Gold Katz-N-Flocken and they LOVE it and are doing very, very well eating it. We still like Wellness very much, just decided to try something new.
Anyway, their birthday dinner consisted of their FAVORITE thing to eat.. EVER: Wellness Chicken, Duck & Shrimp and Welness Salmon & Tuna (saved this packet for later).
Reasons why I love this stuff:
The cats don’t care. They just like the “yums”.
After they nommed to their bellies content, it was time to open PRESENTS!
To spare you the massive amount of photos of them playing, I’ll just give you some of my favorites. Unfortunately, Bella must have been stuffed, because she chose to sit on the sidelines and just watch.
Benny, however, went NUTS!
Doesn’t he look like he’s boxing?!? Totally want to photoshop some boxing gloves on him!
The photo below just cracks me up. He took the BIGGEST jump that he possibly could and actually got pretty high. I just snapped as quick as I could and this was the result. Half a cat. Ha!
I can’t decide if this is ninja kitteh or if he’s playing air guitar??
Finally settling down and stuffing the feathers in his face. He had so much fun.
Bella decided to take her turn with the toy in the middle of the night… dragging it in the the bed at 3am and trying to get me to play. Silly kitties.
This was definitely the smallest birthday party we’ve had for the furkids. We were getting ready to travel and had all kinds of stuff going on, so we kept it minimal. It’s not unusual for them to be wearing party hats, have balloons and decorations and even family over to celebrate with dinner and pet friendly cake. I’m crazy, I know.
Are you a crazy pet parent? Have any funny pet traditions that make your friends roll their eyes?? Or, are you the friend that rolls their eyes at people like me??? Spill it in the comments ;)
