Recovery has been long. I can’t believe it’s only been about a week and a half since I lost the pregnancy and had surgery – it feels like weeks have went by. I expected this to be a long emotional recovery, the physical recovery has surprised me. Going in to surgery, things happened so fast that I didn’t have time to think about the fact that I would be down for a while… and that physical pain would result from all of this.
I was finally, happily, able to leave the confines of my bedroom walls and rejoin the living for a few yesterday evening. My dear friend, Terra, from Cafe Terra, and I went to a nearby coffee shop to have a much needed catch up. The weather was lovely, so we took our drinks and relaxed on the village’s patio for hours.
I enjoyed my Dilworth Coffee usual; spiced chai tea latte, Terra had the breve. I couldn’t resist the yummy chocolate cake.
We talked about grabbing dinner after coffee since neither of us had eaten, however, conversation took over and next thing we knew it was 10:30. Oops. Cake turned out to be dinner {isn’t this supposed to be a healthy living blog?? Fail.}
Ballantyne Village is just adorable. I love the shop fronts so much… it makes me want to open my own little shop. Could I have a blogging shop?? How adorable would that be? Except, well, I guess it would technically be an office. A blogfice. {I’m delusional}
It felt nice to be out amongst the living, it definitely did my spirit good. I would have taken a photo of Terra & I, however, I was looking lovely in yoga pants, a sweatshirt, glasses and a messy pony tail. I’ll wait until I’m prettier.
No big plans here this weekend. Just taking it easy some more – I was hurting a bit tonight after sitting in weird positions at the coffee place. I’m being such a wimp.
Randomly, I wanted to share this cuteness with you. I can’t stop looking at it. Adorbs.
