This time, I won’t get drunk at Taylor Swift.

I love concerts. Seriously, I love them. Also, I’m fortunate to enough to have access to the Founder’s Suite for every single event at Time Warner Cable Arena here in Charlotte. This means that I have a lot of friends solely for the reason that I can invite 30 people to professional & semi pro sports events, concerts, etc for free. They’re using me.

Ahem.

My favorite concert in the past couple of years was definitely Taylor Swift. I’m a huge Taylor fan {don’t you judge me.} Taylor and I actually met through mutual friends back before she was “The Taylor Swift” and a few years later, when her single Tim McGraw starting playing on radio stations, I sent her a “congrats, that’s awesome!” email, to which she replied a few times. Oh, how I wish I would’ve kept that friendship going. She’s really so sweet… I just suck at replying to emails.

What’s my point? None, really, other than I just got my tickets in the mail for her concert in July!! WOO! Beyond excited for this one because it’s the weekend of my niece’s birthday, so what an awesome present for her, right? Coincidentally, on Taylor’s last tour, she was in town for my niece’s birthday, too. The niece is going to start thinking that her birthday = we see Taylor.

{forgive the really cruddy photo quality – all on my phone, they don’t let you take professional cameras in. Boo.}

I just can’t get over how amazing her shows are. So much thought goes in to actually telling a story with each song, it blows my mind.

After the concert, we went back stage and Grant, her lead guitarist was kind enough to sign our shirts and take a few pics.

Can you tell my sister was a tad bit excited about this?

And later we stalked her tour bus bid Taylor farewell. Her tour bus is gorgeous. I want one.

OK, we all now know how much I adore T. Swift.

Unfortunately, not all the concerts I attend go so smoothly. May I remind you of the time I vlogged while {accidentally} getting drunk off of drinking wine from a plastic cup {classy} during a Miley Cyrus concert? You can see that scary vlog here. Not my best moment. I swear not to do that at Taylor Swift. I only drank the wine to make it through Miley.

This was a totally random post, I know.

What’s your favorite concert that you’ve attended?

I won’t hate…I like Taylor Swift too! Have fun at the concert.

And I love the changes to your site. You make me realize how badly I need to learn some HTML.

My favorite concert experience was seeing Tiffany in the summer of 1988. All my little friends and I were there, ready to have a blast singing to “I Think We’re Alone Now” when the opening act STOLE the show. NKOTB. We had never seen or heard of the New Kids until that night, and we had so much fun. The concert was at an amusement park, and they tried to go into the park afterwards and people mobbed them. We were part of that pack trying to follow them.

Thanks for giving me that memory this Monday morning. And thanks for stopping by my blog.

I’m jealous, I love me some Taylor Swift. She even turned the hubs on to liking country music. Yay! Have fun at her concert.

LOL. Well, I’m sure that your niece is going to be super stoked about going to another Taylor Swift concert. Personally, I like Taylor Swift’s songs but I’ve heard sing live 3 times and her performances did not live up to hype or my expectations. However, I’m sure that she has had time to work on her vocals and will only improve as her career goes on.

She’s very excited! You know, it’s been interesting, because every time that we’ve heard Taylor live, she’s improved dramatically. She seems to finally be gaining control of her vocals and really growing in to her voice. Her newest albums seems to show more vocal talent as well, so I’m interested to see what she sounds like this year!

Wow, she hasn’t made my hubs like country… but that would be fantastic! We battle over the radio in the car a lot, lol! ;)

Oh wow, that’s pretty fantastic! I so loved NKOTB. Glad this stirred up some good memories for you this morning :)

I just saw Chelsea Handler this past weekend in Vancouver, not sure that stand up is a “concert”, but it was good fun and funny !

    interesting post! Great phots.

I do not have a fave concert, but I’d love to see Adam Lambert, Cher or Madonna! Oh, and perhaps L. Gaga.

    Warmly,

Haha! You are funny! I have to admit I love some Taylor Swift too! Very cool that you knew her before she was really famous!

So I’ve only been to two “Real” concerts- both were The Spice Girls- in 1998 and in 2008.

    Yes, I’m that cool.

So how do you get the suite??? That’s so awesome! :)

Oh…no hating in regards to Taylor-I love her music:) It’s so fun, and wakes me up in the morning:) I may have started listening to her because my hair is really similar to hers, and people call me Taylor or T-Swift as a joke/nickname sometimes…However, I can’t sing for the life of me.
