Yesterday morning, I was up early and on a mission. I finally worked in a day on my calendar that was to be solely dedicated to housework. No internet, no twitter, no facebook, no blog reading.. nothing. Unplugged.
It was pretty great for a change.
For the most part, I stuck to it. I did cheat and peek at some emails on my phone, replied to a few, and just checked in on twitter once or twice. Not allowing myself to crack open the MacBook really, really kept me on track. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a productive house cleaning day in my life.
The floors were swept, laundry was caught up, clean sheets on all the beds, scrubbed the kitchen, cleaned off my desk and even hung some new prints on the walls.
And now there’s today.
Yesterday put me just a bit behind on things, so I already had today’s routine planned out when I went to bed last night.
