{101 in 1001}

{the mission}

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

{the criteria}
Tasks must be specific with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic.

{why 1001 days?}
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

{want to try?}

Make your own 101 in 1001. If you have a blog, be sure to leave me a link to it in the comments below! :)

Items in italics are in progress, items slashed through are complete!

    I am visiting from Lady Blogger Tea Party. First of all, I love your blog design. The color scheme is wonderful.

    I like the idea of the 101 in 1001 days. I am a compulsive list maker. I like the feeling of accomplishment when I can cross something off my list. Judging from your list, you are an adventurous person.

    Visiting again from 31DBBB and have had a chance to go read way more (the kids are in bed- very rare)

    This is a phenominal idea- I’m going to do some thinking and post one of my own. I love the goals that you’ve set for yourself, except for #2? Visit me, and then turn around and go home.

    And a suggestion for #3 is to alter it to sending to a soldier in Afghanistan. My husband is an extreme exercise freak and would be all over your shakeology that I just checked out. Actually, I might just send him some myself.

    And after three years olf being pregnant, having babies, and chasing them around- I’m FINALLY ready to go back to the gym. But I’m procrastinating until it gets cold, because the summers are so short here. I WILL be back!

  • http://www.designerwife.com/ Lindsay {Designer Wife}

    Um, I swear I typed that in paragraphs…. sorry.

  • http://www.designerwife.com/ Lindsay {Designer Wife}

    Yay! Glad to you got to come back and read more!!

    Regarding #2 – definitely! I’m in love with Canada and Hubs and I have discussed moving there on several occasions… including this evening.

    Will make that alteration to #3 – I hadn’t update in a long time. Don’t even worry about buying any to send to him – I’ll mail you several out of my packets in both flavors if you would like to send them his way. I’d be so happy to do that! Just let me know :)

    My sister and I were just talking about her procrastination with the gym. FIRST, it was “when the kids are back in school” and now that that’s two weeks away, she’s also saying “when it starts cooling down outside” hahaha. :)

    LOVE the list… now you’ve got me thinking. Too bad I didn’t find you and your list before the list “assignment” in the SITS 31DBBB challenge, I would’ve done THAT as my list, oh well. Best of luck on yours :)

    Thanks so much!! I saw the idea on several other blogs last fall and had to join in. I’m a little OCD with lists and have them for everything, so I loved making this one :) Be sure to drop me a note if you make one, too, I’d love to see it!! :)

    Awesome list. I can just see me on day 999 trying to accomplish the final 94 tasks from my list. Why do today what I can put off til tomorrow? But that is totally NOT what happened with the #31DBBB. I get to blame my husband for that one.

    “I can just see me on day 999 trying to accomplish the final 94 tasks from my list.” <- THAT made me laugh entirely too hard!! :)

    I love the number 1. I was thinking lately about what I would do when my 1001 days were over. I love the idea of creating a new list :-)
